Ȥ¹º²Ê is seeking a dedicated Flow Cytometry Specialist to join a dynamic team in Basel. You will play a crucial role in advancing drug discovery projects by collaborating with specialists across various therapeutic areas. Your expertise in flow cytometry will be essential in developing and validating new assays, ensuring high-quality data production, and contributing to the ongoing development of the Flow Cytometry Technology Platform.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on laboratory operations, including instrument quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Train and support users on flow cytometry instruments and cell sorters.
- Work with scientists to develop innovative flow cytometry strategies and assist with data analysis.
- Oversee complex experiments, optimize sample preparation, and ensure data quality.
- Support colleagues in delivering training courses on instrument operation and software.
- Engage with scientific literature to stay updated on emerging technologies
Key Skills and Requirements:
- PhD or MSc as a minimum alongside relevant proven industry experience.
- Proficiency in flow cytometry instrumentation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Experience in designing experiments and analysing data using software like FlowJo or OMIQ.
- Hands-on experience with fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS).
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
